Prehensile Tales is surprising step up for the band whose first album was, in my opinion, disappointing. There's no weak or boring song; the eclectic choice of synths and instruments produce quite the sonic impact; and the lyrics are decent too. To those who felt letdown after PSA's debut album should give this one a try! (And thank you, TCat, for your review that assisted in giving me the push to buy the album.)

I haven't listened to this band yet, but I will because I love Ted Leonard.

Liked the first and this one follows on very well. I think the debut has some real highs, but maybe the latest one is more consistently good.

I loved the first album - a perfect mix of radio-friendly tracks and Prog workouts. The new album is more of the same. THANK GOD!!!! Album Of The Year candidate, for sure.

I've listened to it once and it didn't really grab me but I will have a few more listens to see if it grows on me at all.

The first PSA album didn't impress me but I'ma tell you this. I absolutely love Prehensile Tales. It's way more exciting and memorable. The addition of the brass, winds and violins is a nice touch too.

Being a Spock's Beard fan, I was intrigued by this band. I quickly learned though that PSA isn't a SB clone. That's a good thing. You don't need two SB's. However, I'm not sure the music does a lot for me. Based on the few songs I've heard so far, I love (love, love, love) the proggy instrumental parts but am totally not into any of the songs parts with vocals. Sounds like run of the mill pop to me, and that's not something I've interested in hearing these days. Having said that, I need to hear more of this band before I pass final judgment. I love a lot of the stuff Boegehold wrote for Spock's Beard but the flavor of PSA is different so we'll see.
