i never knew Kieth Tippett but i will miss him and remeniss hes passing, hes playing on Cat Food made me realize i liked avant garde before i knew what that was.

^ going through what I own, I nearly forgot some of the stuff he played on. But there is a lot of excellent stuff he has done over the years. And yes...I'm sure that Cat Food piano was one of the things that lead me to more avant-garde and weird jazz stuff later on.
