I thought we were meant to choose a song that sounds Greek, just like it says in the thread title. Would you prefer me to choose a Nana Mouskouri song instead, or maybe something by Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou, otherwise known as Vangelis. It's all Greek to me.

I messaged James Baldwin yesterday to tell him I'd found a song for his fifth interactive poll and he didn't have a problem with it. "I Remember" isn't my favourite Demis Roussos song, but it's the only song he sings in his native Greek language. If I was to choose a favourite Demis Roussos song overall, that would be "Forever and Ever" sung in English, although that wouldn't be eligible for this thread. I guess I could choose the Spanish version of "Forever and Ever" instead though. Then again, I could choose a song by Aphrodite's Child to keep it proggy.

let me repeat myself, I guess you did not understand, or maybe you ignore me, I don't know... Read Lewian's original post. If you want to participate in the poll, go ahead. If you don't, then don't...

Okay, I've just read Lewian's intro. I'm guessing Lorenzo is James Baldwin's real name. This is what it says in the introduction:-
1) isn't listed on PA, 2) has some singing, 3) is not in English, and 4) is not in your native language. So how come my choice of song by Demis Roussos is unacceptable to you when Lorenzo (James Baldwin) said yesterday in a private message to me that it was a "wonderful" choice? |

Neither Lewian, nor I understood if you nominate that song in the poll. You seemed to ignore Lewian's question to you above, so you created some confusion...

You can either go with my original choice of Demis Roussos song sung in Greek, or "Forever and Ever" sung in Spanish. I don't mind which. I'm beginning to wish I never took part in this poll now though with the Land of Confusion I'm currently in. You may not like the Demis Roussos song I've chosen, but that happens to be my choice, so take it or leave it. I don't understand why the song is unacceptable for this poll though, when it conforms with Lewian's four points listed above?

nobody said Demis Roussos's song is unacceptable. But Lewian asked you if that is your entry, which you never answered. Hence the confusion...

As said, no one thought it was unacceptable. And the more participants,, the better.
But, in looking at the original post, as a reminder for future polls, include the full rules for newcomers. That is, include: choose a song you enjoy and want to share with others. Don't vote until nominations are deemed final by OP and you have listened to all songs posted, and you can vote for your favorite 3 songs, but not your own. I noticed that there is already one vote up. |

I think it was only Cristy who thought my choice of song was unacceptable. Maybe she just doesn't like Demis Roussos.

Psychedelic Paul: Nobody said your choices are unacceptable, however you have to make clear what your choice is. Your first posting suggested that you don't really know what this is about, but now you do. So tell me in a straight sentence what your entry is (no two alternatives please, just tell me what your *one* entry is), and I'll include it. PS: OK, I got it, Demis Roussos is your choice. PPS: Can you please write the title of the song down in proper Latin letters? I tried to copy the Greek title in the poll, but the system didn't like that.

Good point, I added this to the original post. (PS: In fact I'm a mathman like you, so I like precise definitions. )

so it's only fine when you pick on others. I did not mean to insult your intelligence, maybe your arrogance and lack of attention.
