^^ No, it's not an official ProgArchives poll, I agree, but it's still a poll of sorts, where PA members vote for their favourite songs in a "poll". It's just like an election, only with songs instead of politicians to vote for.

The winning Top 5 King Crimson songs are almost the same as my own personal Top 5, apart from #5: Larks' Tongues in Aspic, which I would have replaced with Cadence and Cascade from their second album.

You can't really argue with democracy in action like this so the following is an observation, not a criticism: I'm always surprised by how much affection Epitaph generates (as it never struck me as anything other than a pleasant but slightly overwrought gothic ballad)

I like overwrought gothic ballads.
Epitaph has always been my favourite King Crimson song, so I'm glad it made it into the final Top 5. |
