This Eddie Cochran, I checked and he's from here(United States) so I'll have to give this album of his from the 50's a listen at some point.

I have made a review from this album last year soon it became, so nothing more to it´s music, but have to say this band is one of the greatest to me that has founded in 2000`s. It has put into post rock/math rock -genre in PA, but it really isn´t math rock at all and not also typical post rock (I am not post rock fan at all). One thing that might be the reason I love this band is Korean traditional instruments together with modern. This was one the greatest albums last year & sounded today also really good, but still I prefer their second album "a Hermitage".

Laura Nyro: Spread Your Wings And Fly; Live At the Filmore East May 30, 1971
Laura has been really late finding to me, but I have become quite big fan of her! She wasn´t mentioned as influence to Kate Bush, but I really wonder if Kate hasn´t heard her. After Laura´s passing in the quite early age there has come quite many live releases and I think this is the earliest concert recorded. There was just Laura performing with piano, but nothing more is needed just because she´s so great player & singer! Here are songs from all her five first album, except from the original version of her first album. But also there are three new songs, "American Dove", "I Am the Blues" & "Mother Earth" that only second one is recorded in her next studio album. This and Laura´s other albums are just so soulful and give me strength into my life!

Both of those artists look like they might be something I'd be interested in. But I... there's too many albums lol.
Here´s something for Jambinai you love (you might not like their noisy songs):

And fabulous Laura (she´s really not known at all in Europe, but I have thought she was very famous in US):

Not that I know of. I'm sure she has her fans, but I don't think she's 'huge' here or anything, at least to my knowledge. Anyway thanks for the links, I'll try to listen to those when I get a chance.

Ok my notes.. School Days - massive classic!
Deep Feeling - Instrumental
Too Much Monkey Business - rockin, good groove to it. jammin guitar break. favorite song on album.
Wee Wee Hours - very smooth
Roly Poly and Berry Pickin' guitar jam(liked the latter more).
No Money Down - Story
Brown Eyed Handsome Man - the jam
Together (We'll Always Be)  and Drifting Heart - Slower, relaxing
Havana Moon - Cool and different from the rest of the album.

Not sure if I liked that as much as Little Richard's debut last night(which I listened to again this morning btw). But it was quite good and I definitely enjoyed it.
Too Much Monkey Business is my fav Berry track! Yardbirds made quite good version of it, but Berry´s still a looot better! If you want to listen more rockin album from Berry, you can try his second "One Dozen Berrys". It is many "THAT" album from Berry, as Little Richard first is too. You know I am guy who likes eclectic & versatile albums!

Sounds good to me. Off to listen to it right now!

MDK is great. I haven't heard it in a while but it's pretty top notch. Magma are also great to see live if you are into going to concerts.

That was very good. Here are my notes..

Sweet Little Sixteen - all time classic.
Blue Feeling - smooth and good instrumental
La Juanda - spicy latin flavored song
Rockin' at the Philharmonic - pretty cool instrumental
Oh Baby Doll - some rock and roll
Guitar Boogie - rockin and rollin on that guitar!
Reelin' and Rockin - Classic. rock and roll!
Rock and Roll Music - Classic obviously
How You've Changed - Smooth
Low Feeling - Very smooth, good
It Don't Take but a Few Minutes - sounded very retro even for a 50's song. good stuff. My favorite on the album.

He's good with those slower, smooth songs.. and obviously really good(great) with the early rock and roll stuff. VERY talented guy. I can see why he was and is such a GIANT of early rock and roll.

Smile. I know what you´re thinking about it, so that´s the reason why I warned. But have to say I think whole Theusz Hamtaahk-trilogie is masterpiece, so is their first, second, Köhntarkösz, K.A & Emehntehtt-Re (another trilogie). And first is the greatest to me as you know.

When you´re not familiar with his stuff, I recommend more to listen "Memorial Album" as UK-version. It includes all his great rockers (C´mon Everybody, Summertime Blues, Something Else), but also some really great ballads. It was the first compilation right after his early passing.

YES! I don´t think Rolling Stones would have existed without him. At least not sounding same at all. Keith has always admitted that.

I have seen them twice quite recently, first concert was catharsis to me! Still got tickets to VdGG, Yes & Nick Mason´s Saucerful Of Secrets, the first one should be on November, two latter ones next spring. Hope they´re then!

Wednesday:

Listenings in work:
Ethiopiques 13 & 14, Woodstock Experience
Ethipiques are great French series of Ethiopian music mostly from 60-70ties. Nro 13 has various artists, really love all the songs in it! Great detail in this compilation is that Finnish Piirpauke leader Sakari Kukko played flute on one track. World was small already in the seventies. Nro 14 is fully saxplayer Getatchew Mekuryas music. I think he was the only saxplayer in Ethiopia making career as instrumental jazz (in Ethiopia those times and really still today music always has vocals). He´s music is really hypnotic, has often great groove, but there are also really sad pieces with waltz rhythm. Not very easy to listen, but some pieces are really great! The last CD I listened in work was cheap compilation about live and studio pieces from the first Woodstock artists. Interesting is, that there are songs also from Fleetwood Mac, Yardbirds, the Nice, the Small Faces and really unknown Twice as Much, that weren´t in Woodstock. So maybe the name of CD didn´t mean that festival? Anyway quite good music also in this!

Pere Ubu: The Modern Dance
I really start to repeat myself, but THIS IS MASTERPIECE! I put my earlier list their "Art Of Walking"-album, but their five first albums are masterpieces! And have to say this album is a great starter, it´s the most straightforward in those five and you will find out, do you love them or hate them! David Thomas voice is also that kind you hate or love it. Although this band has some Beefheart-influences (at least in "Real World" in this album), also some Stooges influences in this album, it´s very hard to compare to any other band (maybe Red Krayola). Also, info for you Yesesis, both Pere Ubu and Krayola are US bands (if you didn´t know).

Blind Willie Johnson: Praise God I´m Satisfied
This album sounded today incredible great! I don´t think it´s just this man plays gosbel, he had a style of his own in his vocals and great bottleneck guitar also in secular songs! Tom Waits sounds like him in many songs, not sure was Tom influenced by him. Got no information who´s made originally "Nobody´s Fault But Mine", but anyway Zeppelin´s much more famous version´s lyrics are based on Blind Willie´s great song. Also, have to tell his stepmother threw lye into his face and he became blind at the age of three or four and still he sang "Praise God I´m Satisfied". I think many of us should learn positive life attitude from him (me too). At the moment I am really satisfied I have all senses (little tinnitus is just nothing) and healthy hands & feet!

Oh.. They're from here in the United States of America?

I just went straight to Wikipedia and you're right! Makes me want to listen to it. In fact from now on I want to listen to NOTHING but US artists, because that's how it should be!

Oh mercy.. I'm kidding of course. I'm not THAT much of a homer lmao. In fact I have something completely different planned for tonight. Kate Bush's first album. She's an artist I keep seeing mentioned on here and.. I'm embarrassed to say, I've never listened to anything by her(at least I don't think I have).

So here goes. Going to change that right now!

Ok a couple filler songs, but all in all I'd say that was still quite good.

My notes..

Moving - great. The Saxophone Song too. Kite had a little more energy.
The Man with the Child in His Eyes was slower but good
Wuthering Heights - slower but very good
James and the Cold Gun - more modern sounding, reminded me of a lot of some early 80's songs.
Oh To Be In Love - really cool, probably my favorite on the album.
L'Amour Looks Something Like You - oh this one's really good too.
Them Heavy People - Ok this one too.
Room For The Life - filler
Title track - slow... but good

Yeah I liked that. Hard to really compare it to anything that I can think of. She has a very unique voice.

That was different but definitely good.

Great you have found Kate!! That album is my fav of her, although next three are almost as great (I know many thinks Lionheart weak, but I don´t agree). Also two of her last albums are really great (meaning Aerial & 40 Words Of Snow, Director´s Cut is not as great)! Hope you also now listened sometime Laura Nyro´s Christmas and the Beds Of Sweat, it´s really have much in common with Kate!

Thurday´s albums:

My working day CD:s:
V.A.: 14 Irregular Files A Mute Accumulation
V.A.: Return Of the Babysitter
V.A.: Runeberginkatu 8
First compilation I got about 20 years ago from my brother, not sure where he´s got it, I think he was in work at some music department then. It has not very known artists of Mute-records. I have thought that label got many great ones, but when started to think, got only Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds & Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in my mind. And really this cd didn´t make that picture better. Most are ok, but only Chrome & Jon Spencer pieces are good. Second compilation includes alternative/underground acts from Finland from nineties. They´re mostly quite cheerful punky bands, but only Atom Heart (nothing to do with that great Floyd album), Cosmic Goblins & Thee Ultra Bimboes were the ones I really liked. Third also has Finnish alternative etc. bands but is all the way much better and more versatile compilation, liked already many years bands like Terveet Kädet, Ympyräkonnat (this shortlived band has members from Circle & Deep Turtle) and Kumikameli.

Faust: Fresh Air
This is their latest album from 2017, it´s almost as great as their first four albums! The greatest piece is ending piece "Fish", it´s really meditative and has so great lyrics! Faust is the band among Magma & VdGG that has keep doing really great music also in 2000`s! Really hope I will have change to see them! Just watched they played concert yesterday in UK, maybe it has been streaming.

New Trolls: Senza Orario, Senza Bandiera
Have to say I liked that Le Orme first album much more! This is some kind of mix of Beatles and Italian "schlager" (maybe slightly Moodies & Procol also there). It´s recorded very poorly, vocals are really top and I don´t like singers voice and his some kind opera-style at all! Not sure, should I even try Concerto Grosso (seem to be same singer in it). Music is not bad, but nothing special in it.

Ok, big night tonight(for me). So what album do I most want to listen to? Hmmm...

Kiss debut album? Countdown to Ecstasy? The Slider? The Bends? MDK?

And the answer is... for tonight... The Bends!!!

**** yeah man! So good. Ok The Bends by Radiohead. Used to be such a big favorite of mine in the 90's.

Man songs like High and Dry.. and Bones(I was JAMMING OUT during Bones). I skipped the last song, I always do. But also the title track is very good, Fake Plastic Trees obviously, Black Star(is really good), and Sulk is also good. All time great album. So is OK Computer. I was really into this band for a while there. Right on, that was great!
