Great to hear! Aaaah...maybe I just have to listen Drastic Measures some of these days, because I want to listen at least those two albums also I liked back then.

Wednesdayīs album: Ten Years After: Watt Ten Years Afterīs albums are all quite personal bluesrock-albums, but in "Cricklewood Green" they really started to add many elements into their music. This their next album they had just blues base, there are many really great melodic songs, also all kinds of psychedelic or experimental influences. "The Band With No Name" is short, instrumental sad, but really beautiful piece. "Gonna Run" starts really dark & hypnotic, but changes into jazzy rockabilly. "She Lies In the Morning" is really great when starting as melodic song, but has then many different parts from bossanova to psychedelic passion. Have to say Alvin Lee is one heck of guitarist, but also a great singer. Really I would recommend this album to starting together with my fav of them that is "A Space In Time".

Well.. I guess that might be one way to look at it. You were the major one who was able to convince me that Christian Vander is not really a 'bad guy' and it's ok to listen to Magma, so who knows. Really, as long as this band isn't Evil, like Opeth or something like that then I'll give them a chance. But I just don't feel it's good for me spiritually to be listening to stuff that's evil. You now, garbage in garbage out kind of thing. You are what you consume.. etc.

Well, if you think Captain Beefheart wasnīt evil, then I think Faust members are not also. I see them as just very artist persons. And have to say I would go to dinner with Jean Herve-Peron rather than Beefheart, Jean is quite mad on the stage, but outside that he seems to be kind person.

My faves from them are the all four first albums. I think also the Faust Tapes is masterpiece. Both in that and Faust IV have with experimental also really beautiful, melodic pieces. And really two first albums are just great, maybe even more experimental. But I love all their albums, maybe Ravvivando, the most electro album of Faust is the weakest, but I have liked really much also that!

I just checked and looks like this Space in Time deal was platinum in the US. I'll try to remember to get to that at some point, but again too many albums too little time.

Yeah I've read that my man Beefheart was a difficult person in some ways, and I guess some people really didn't like him.. But I don't think he was actually 'Evil' like Opeth, the band Ozzy was in, King Diamond, Marilyn Manson, Anton LaVey, Aleister Crowley, etc etc.

Two recommendations. Listen to Concerto grosso 1 by the New Trolls(70's Italian band). The second one(concerto grosso number 2) only has two really good tracks on it(Le roselai and concerto grosso number 2)so tread carefully if you want to check that one out also.
Also, check out the 70's US band Pavlov's Dog. Start with the pampered menial album then the at the sound of the bell album. All can be found on youtube.

I liked that even better than Monolith. GREAT violin throughout. Only 1 somewhat filler song was Refugee imo. All the other songs very good.. especially Rhythm in the Spirit, Summer, and of course The Voyage of Eight Eighteen(going back to their prog roots here).
I liked that album very much.

This looks like something I'd like(Concerto 1). So I'll listen to it maybe this weekend, or at least after I finish with these Traffic albums. Thank for the suggestions.

I think I have listened it just once, but I paid then attention to vocals sounding. To me it sounded like they have used autotune. But have to listen again someday, I may try to listen all the albums before that.

Thursdayīs three albums: P J Harvey: All About Eve I think there are quite many popular artists that have made music to some film, but to me it seems itīs very rare popular music makers make music into a play and then released it as an album. I have only two of that kind, Tom Waits "The Black Rider" & this album. Originally "All About Eve" is a film of the fifties, but 2018 director Ivo Van Hove started to make it as a play and Harvey started to compose music into it. This album came last year and itīs very special in P J discography. Itīs almost instrumental and P J isnīt singing in two vocal pieces. P J plays in this album a lot, mostly keyboards, there are only James Johnston & Kenrick Rowe with her. All the way this album includes very sensitive, calm & beautiful music.
Brainticket: Psychonaut This album was in Loganīs poll where I picked it. Have to say I really liked it! When released in 1971, itīs more psych than prog album. All the way itīs really interesting and has strong atmospheres. I like all the songs, maybe the last song Coc`O Mary is little bit mediocre, but on the other hand itīs groove is quite good in the end of the album. Few years ago I listened this bands debut album that I didnīt like then at all. Really going to listen at least their third album!
Wipers: Silver Sail This was nineties reunion album of the eighties US punk band Wipers. But this really melanchol album hasnīt got really much punk, of course there is that distorted guitar sound of Greg Sage, but many songs has also acoustic guitar. And many pieces have quite slow tempo. "On A Roll" and title song (thatīs one of the greatest in album) reminds the most the early Wipers. But my fav in this album is "Standing There" that is sad, but really beautiful song. Not the best Wipers album, but really good anyway!

I donīt think Beefheart also evil, more I think he got serious mental problems.
But really I donīt think Sabbath members also evil. Do you know they carried crucifixes? Also here are lyrics of their "After Forever" from "Master Of Reality"-album: HakutuloksetHave you ever thought about your soul can it be saved?
Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave
Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you?

Probably right about Beefheart. And thanks for posting those lyrics.. I'm sure they're probably not 'bad people' really. Idk, not sure I'm quite ready to listen to them yet though. Have to really think about this one.

Ok, guess I probably should start with the first Traffic album here. Don't want to just go straight to 'Barleycorn' first lol. That might be a little like starting off with Kansas on Leftoverture, or starting Magma with MDK(which I did actually but still love many of their other albums also, especially the first two).
So here we go.. looks like for tonight it's Mr. Fantasy!

Real 60's vibe to it. Only filler song imo was Hope I never Find Me There. Ok.. Berkshire Poppies was pretty silly. House for Everyone was trippy. No Face, No Name, No Number - nice relaxing flowing song. Dear Mr. Fantasy I've obviously heard on the radio several times, great song with a jammin musical break in it. Utterly Simple sounds an awful lot like George Harrison had something to do with it lol. Coloured Rain was really cool. And finally Giving to You was my favorite track on the album, smooth and satisfying.
Yeah this is a band I could get into I think, for sure.

As I said before, I love Sabbath, but I donīt think their music is the most genius one. Itīs just really great seventies heavy music that have sometimes a little prog. Anyway I think theyīre better than Zeppelin, Purple & Uriah Heep (although those bands also have some really good albums).

It really is!! Only that it is quite short album. In vinyl version there are as bonus demo-versions of those two sung pieces, P J plays piano and sing them, theyīre also really great!

Great to hear!! As I said before that first one is my fav from them, but really their next two albums are almost as great and all their albums are at least really good!
