linguistics has a few useful sides too! though sometimes I wish I had chosen economics instead...
btw is that two studies you're doing now or just one study covering both things?
(dirty social science includes economics btw). Specifically, I have a math major and an economics and music double minor with the interest of getting a masters in economics. Economics mainly just because it's a compromise between competing interests (math, philosophy, and being able to provide for myself and possibly a family doing intellectually challenging work without having to remain in academia). Though the philosophy component is oft forgotten in today's practice. I considered Economics as a major, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go all in, so I chose math as a pretty good all around Bachelor's that gives me some other options for grad school.

that makes sense, wouldn't your master have to be more specifically maths-related then though?
Yeah, it'd be something like econometrics.
