Hi! I'm Mira, I'm 25 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I've been a prog fanatic since 2013, and while my tastes have broadened quite a bit since then it is still the genre with which I feel the most at home. I've been using this site as an encyclopedia and review database for years now, but general shyness always kept me from registering until now. I look forward to blending in with this community! While I dearly love most of the classic "big name" prog bands such as Genesis, King Crimson and ELP etc., in more recent times I'm developing a preference for the Canterbury and RIO scenes and bands in general that blur the lines between rock, jazz and classical music; some of my favourite examples include National Health (whose debut is the best album I've ever heard), Henry Cow, Soft Machine, Hatfield & The North, Egg, Area, Gilgamesh, Bruford, Dedalus, Samla Mammas Manna and of course Frank Zappa. I also make prog-inspired experimental electronic music of my own, which you can listen to here if you're interested: https://tma-1.bandcamp.com/

Welcome Mira, and I share similar feelings about music (Canterbury and RIO) and music that "blur[s] the lines between rock, jazz and classical music". I'm also enjoying your own music very much. I've been particularly into varieties of Indietronica (say Stereolab) of late, and your music scratches some of that same itch.

Welcome Mira! National Health's debut is such a wonderful album and it's heartwarming to see it mentioned as your personal favourite.
