If you want some rather daring visual experiences, try watching "Viva la Muerte!" by Spanish surrealist Fernando Arrabal or "The Holy Mountain" by Alexander Jodorowsky (sometimes spelled "Jodorowski"). Warning: Both movies are definitely not for the faint of heart, especially "Viva la Muerte!"; even people who are fans of extreme horror movies should better watch them on an empty stomach.

Dario Argento : Deep Red ..a part from some trash scenes this is a very beautiful film with a great soundtrack by Goblin! Suspiria is another one of my favourites

Tadpoles keep screaming in my ear
"Hey there! Rotter's Club!
Explain the meaning of this song and share it"

What a difficult question. Being a huge Mel Brooks fan it would probably be Blazing Saddles. Loved it since I was a kid.

Also the transformers Movie, Jason & the Argonauts, Godfather trilogy, La Vita è bella.. Too many films...

La Vita è bella: Great shout.  I love that film.  Incredibly funny, but also really touching.  one of the best holocaust films ever made IMO, as it doesn't overly sentimentalise it all, but still makes you think about what happened.

I loved Amelie, a really sweet movie

taxi driver was a bore, but most people I know like it very much, so I'm probably just not seing it.

Lord of the rings could've been so much better, I liked part one, but after that it turned into a special effects/action movie, such a shame, nice to watch though

I see what you are saying; films 2 and 3 are very different to the first.  Still love them loads though.  They are one of the reasons why I haven't been able to embrace the latest Star Wars films, as the LOTR films are that much better.

you may be interested in a new kubrick book that is coming out.  it costs £100 but it contains photos and loads of unseen stuff about his films - all released from his own personal archive.  supposed to be essential for any kubrick fan - bit expensive though.
