It's a weird album. And I like that. My only complaint is "Vertigo." Kind of takes all the steam out of the engine. But whatever. It's The Flower Kings and I am extremely happy this is out there. A worthy addition to Roine's already impressive discography.

I'm listening to Waiting for Miracles and so far I have a feeling there's A BIT TOO MUCH filler on it. Pointless noodling that doesn't go anywhere, short tracks that sound like fuсking around in the studio etc. I'm pretty disappointed.
EDIT:
TBH, after listening to the album one more time, this time more carefully, I noticed lot more great passages and solos. So, not bad, not bad.

For those that may be unware , Kayak have dropped out of the support slot at the London gig. Apparently Ton Scherpenzeel has a serious medical condition so I would like to pass on my best wishes to him.

They have been replaced by Iamthemorning and Richard Sjoblom who will no doubt do a great job standing in.

I very much like Black Flag, and if this is any indicator of the style and quality of the new album we are in for a treat.

Unfortunately I won't be at their only UK gig.  A trip down to London for a sunday night does not work at all for me.

As to the new HFMC, I actually am in a very similar position to Gus!! LOL  However, I have had a listen to the new one on Spotify and it sounds pretty good.

As far as a USA tour goes, Roine needs to do a Kickstarter for it. Maybe start a Patreon page for TFK. I'm sure there are more than enough folks out there that would chip in.

I like the music on the HFMC albums. Always some cool synth stuff. Need to get this new one. As always, can't keep up at all. Which I guess is a good thing. New Opeth is awesome!!

Here's a new interview with Roine.  Prospects for American touring are not good, and it doesn't seem money is the biggest issue.

Stumbled across this interview with Hasse Froberg today:

http://www.societyforritualarts.com/coreopsis/autumn-2019-issue/interview-hasse-froberg-of-the-flower-kings

Most interesting quote is this (for us USA folks anyway):

"And from what I understand there’s even negotiations about bringing TFK to the US again next year, so there’s definitely stuff in the pipeline."

Let's hope this happens!!

Saw them in their heyday (unfold) so I'm okay with that, another live album would be gladly welcome though.

Yeah, no USA dates listed with their upcoming tour, all Europe.  I get the impression that Roine is done with the USA.  He used to loose upwards of $10,000 on every tour he did here in the states, and now with more strict, expensive, and time consuming visa requirements, I very much doubt he will ever play here again.  Canada seems to be the closest place we will get.

I have the first one and I never really cared for it.  I should probably pull it out again though, as I don't know that I gave it that many listens.  While I usually love his voice in the Flower Kings, I find that his voice can grate on me when he gets all "hard rock" with his singing.  This is something that seems to have gotten worse over time, as I can't think of a single thing on the early TFK albums (I'm thinking up through Sum) where his voice bothered me much at all (aside from the a couple times where he lays on the cheese rather thickly).

The new single, "Black Flag" is excellent. It sounds like a nice mix between the modern TFK's sound and their earlier stuff. Really good omen.
