A few years back I bought what I was told was a vinyl test pressing of ItCotCK (however, I think it could possibly be a white label promo).  The record consists of a white label on both sides.  "Court King Crimson" is written on the A-side in ballpoint pen, and "b" is written on the B-side in sharpie. The matrix on the A-side is "ILPS 9111 A//3" and on the B-side it's "ILPS 9111 B//4".  Both matrixes appear to be stamped. I've looked everywhere on the internet and can barely find any information on these matrix variations.  I've seen them listed on a few auctions sites advertised as a "First pressing Pink Island label" (not a white-label, which confuses me).  Does anybody here have any information on this record or what it could possibly be worth? If so, please share. Any input would be very much appreciated.

According to this link it would say Test Press on the white label...but ck out this link...it might help.
The early pink ones are fairly common it seems but the white labels are more rare...

Thanks for the link.  At this point I'm basically convinced my copy is not a test pressing since it just has a plain white label with some handwriting on it.  I would put my money on it being a promo copy, but every promo copy I can find on popsike and other sites are all Atlantic pressing, whereas mine is Island (based off the matrix code).

$600 CAD.  The seller wanted $1000 for it, but mentioned he had been trying to sell it for a long time, so I offered 600.

Well I see that you added your issue to Discogs about a yr ago, you could ask the question in Discogs forum or go to the Steve Hoffman forums and post it there (highly suggested, maybe you have black gold!!).
I'm going to guess it is a plain white label promo rather than a test pressing, normally test pressing will say test pressing, and possibly have a different sound, mix than the released version, have you played it?

A test pressing also usually lists the songs, the matrix code is the Island Records coding as you listed in your entry so as long as that is the stamp in the run out groove your correct.
The Pink Island ones might be actual first pressings, as a test press or true white label promo usually the label is the same color as the normal releases, so a plain white label is different. What I understand is these are mass produced for release to media and radio stations.
I would find out if your seller has any provenance as to where it came from.
