KORNMO - top notch instrumental prog.
Below you can see a link to one track from their debut album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCcboYEfam4 If anybody (who's responsible for that) will add Kornmo to a PA bands base, I put my modest article regarding the sophomore affair.

If they're a newer band with younger members then they probably have a strong post rock or metal influence.

No post rock or metal at all. Because two founding members of Kornmo are connected with 2 other bands: Adventure and Morild.

I was speaking in general about newer prog made by younger musicians not that one specifically. Imo, gone are the days when younger bands in this over all genre(prog)are influenced by PG era Genesis, Yes, ELP or most of the classic prog bands(with the possible exception of Rush and Pink Floyd). Today they are more influenced by metal, post rock, indie and alternative and blend those influences with what they consider to be "progressive." Even if they aren't influenced by prog metal or metal directly those influences show up in an obvious way more times than not. Aside from the one band you pointed out I think that's pretty obvious just by the samples so far. Sure, there are some exceptions but I find them to be just that(and not the rule).

Strangely enough, a Norwegian trio 35 TAPES are not included to the PA band's base yet. :( I guess, many fans of Camel, Genesis, PF, old Marillion and such, would be glad to meet them on Prog Archives. :)

Thanks! All formats (Vinyl/CD/Digital) will be available on our bandcamp. If you want to buy cd, the best way to support the band is through the Facebook page.

I happen to be listening to Hollow Branches today and saw this thread. They are multinational but include Marius Sjøli from Norway. Can be checked out on Bandcamp https://hollowbranches.bandcamp.com/track/it-is-evening-but-evidence-of-the-day-can-still-be-seen

If you live outside Norway, you can order vinyl through bandcamp. They have been shipped from Holland today, so I will probably start shipping by the end of next week.

Well the new Jordsjo album lives up to expectations! Thank you for so much great music.
Also I am really loving the Elephant9 live albums, Psychedelic Backfire. Great stuff from Norway!
