Sorry, but indeed my first thought when I read the title was, what's the point of this poll? Now, do I really have to say which one I voted for? Even with the complaints of the individual tracks, I would say most people love, or at least like, the album because of the true group songs. In the end it's one of the two albums with the very best line-up the band had (for me the very best line-up of any prog band, or rock band in general). However, for me the individual songs thing doesn't really detract from the enjoyment... mostly because they are actually rather short. And they aren't even really that bad. Mood for a Day is actually good, The Fish is also very good, and I consider it as an extention for Long Distance Runaround. We Have Heaven is very short indeed, and I have come to enjoy it too. Five Percent for Nothing... come on, who cares? Barely half a minute. The one that harms a bit more for me is Cans and Brahms, but it's not really something I find horrible, just forgettable. I had read sometime that Wakeman really wanted to use what eventually became Catherine of Aragon (it even features just about the whole line-up of this album) for Fragile, but wasn't allowed to write for Yes because of his own record label. If only he had been able to do so, this album would have been really perfect for me.

Good poll, just for its comments. Here I'd go with Fragile by a small margin over 90125. Fragile with Talk would be a tie. And, if there is a such poll, I'd prefer Big Generator over Going for the One by a small margin. All mentioned albums are great anyway. I don't care if it is too proggy or less proggy (how much mellotron, Hammond or odd rhythms). Quality of music, invention, vision, musicianship, emotional impact, these are the criteria for me. Yes proved despite the perpetual changes that they maintained these attributes for a long time, right from their debut. Actually I felt decline only after Talk (still they managed to recover on The Ladder a bit).

Fragile. 90125 was released in 1983, which is the last time I've listened to it. Other than hearing various songs in the supermarket.

90125 for me was like Invisible Touch by Genesis. Spent a week on the stereo player before being tossed out in the rubbish bin.

I'll vote for Fragile. It is more 'classic Yes' and has two of their best songs; Heart of the Sunrise & Southside of the Sky.

But...90125, would easily be in my top 5 Yes albums.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Two immensely delightful albums !! To me, along with CttE they're at least one step above every other Yes'. 90125 is closer to my musical home right now. It really depends on the mood. The Bruford drumming I prefer from hundreds I know is in studio HotS !

90125 is arguably their most accessible album and it's the one that made me a fan. However, I soon discovered their back catalog and the rest as they say is history. So, even though 90125 is the album that made me a Yes fan discovering their back catalog(relayer, fragile, ctte, etc)is what made me a prog fan.

This can't be a serious question?  90210 hasn't held up over the years.  Fragile will always be a classic...
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Exactly what I was about to say. Except  zipcode didn't stand up even at the time for me.
(though, apparently perversely, I liked some of 'Big Generator')

Different ears hear different things..

90125 still sounds fresh to me. It's one of the best albums of the 80's IMO.

Probably why I've listened to Fragile only 2 or 3 times in the last 10 years while I give 90125 an ear 2 or 3 times each year.

I still listen to 90125 occasionally but Fragile is far better - it has Heart of the Sunrise.

Pretty much the same for me. However, Fragile has several of my favorite Yes songs and is probably the album (along with The Yes Album) that served as my Yes gateway, so Fragile gets the vote. 90125 just can't compete.

I love both for different reasons
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I voted for Fragile , but for me it was closer for me than many might think. 90125 really got my Yes journey started  (or at least re-booted) Plus, except for Mood for a day, I don't love all the solo pieces that much.
The main songs do make it a great album however.

90125 is one of Yes' best albums...if we invert the rankings, that is. At least it's a better offering than Big Generator.
Fragile wins this one easily.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.
