Two of the most popular, most original and complete series devoted to nr 2 and nr 1 in DC comics. Ive seen all of Gothams 4 seasons and seen couple if Smallville episodes and Smallville is tthe best developed Superman series nd live action version, also takes time and care to introduce many DC carecters into limelight, even Darkseid. Gotham is very good series as well, some gripes but overall, gritty, ugly and violent ebough to understand why Batman becomes who he is.

Just could never embrace Smallville. Have started watching Gotham and actually kinda like it, fairly bold for a non-pay network show. Goth pretty easily. |

Gotham can br pretty visceral and direct, even if it alsontry to paint a superheroic story but is also somewhat different. Everyone is both sane and insane, and they managed to give every characters grey areas.

Smallville...a guilty pleasure .......though I think Gotham had better production values.
