Monster Briefcase, Mr. Hope... - the protagonist finds a job xD

Don't Let the Devil in - protagonist realizes that he/she must work hard to make their dreams come true
Love is the Word - protagonist falls in love
There is no Such Night - the protagonist thinks about death, realizes that sooner of later people die but he/she believes in some kinda afterlife after all
Mean Machine/Dungeon - ????? i have no clue why these parts are even in this epic xDDDDD I always skip them
Indian Summer - the protagonist is now old and tired, probably also terminally ill
Sunny Lane/Gardens Revisited/Shadowland - protagonist's final visions on their deathbed
The Final Deal - death

I always assumed this from the moment I got the album back in 1999.  Also, Mean Machine/Dungeon is one of my favorite parts of the piece that I always wished they hadn't cut out live (though it's understandable....the 7 minutes or so of ambience would not work as well in a live setting for a band like TFK).  I love the whole epic though and wouldn't dream of cutting any of the parts as I find they all fit very well to my ears.

They are, in fact calling themselves The Flower Kings and I got confirmation that they are recording a new Flower Kings album.  So it seems Roine has decided this current formation is the new Flower Kings.  Tomas will be missed, but I'm still very interested to hear what this new album will be like.

We'll actually have some NEW Flower Kings music to discuss here!  Big smile

May have jumped the gun..........they are in a studio, but it's not clear what for.  They do have tour dates coming up so could just be rehearsal, but I would think rehearsing in a recording studio would be pretty expensive when they could just rent a room somewhere for much cheaper.  Could also be Anderson/Stolt 2 work.  We'll see.........

Just listened to Space Revolver last week, which was my first listen to FK album in quite some time.  Still as great as I remember!

I agree, Stardust We Are. If that album does not resonate with you then not much else prolly will. My fav is Adam & Eve, not the most admired of their later efforts but the musicianship for me is stellar on that album. Also the last album to feature Zoltan on drums Cry.

Wrong.  The last album to feature Zoltan on drums was The Sum Of No Evil.  Which is also, not coincidentally, their best album after Unfold by far WinkSmile  That said, I don't really find any of their albums "bad" or even "not good".  I just don't really get a lot out of Adam & Eve, though I agree with you about the musicianship and I do love a couple of the tunes (not the epics though........first FK album where the epics weren't my favorite track(s)).
My bad, I thought he only guested on some of that album......must be why I like it too.

(sorry for the extremely late reply)

Well, he was kind of a guest, as he only did the album and didn't tour with them.  But he's the drummer for the entire album.

Roine Stolt has a new version of The Flower Kings that has been touring. The lineup includes Hasse and Jonas.

I'm well aware that TFK don't get as much love on PA as I think they deserve, but gosh darndit, I love 'em. I'll always think I've listened to them too much, but then a song of theirs will come up while I have my music library on shuffle. I always follow this up with another song of theirs that I feel is a good addendum to the first one, then I'll go through my bootlegs of theirs to see if I have a live version of any of those songs. If I do, I'll be forced to listen to it which usually ends up with me listening to the entire show with a huge stupid grin on my face.
