First of all, Trick and W&W are awesome albums.
ATTWT and Duke are still great albums in my book. After that I get picky Abacab: Me & Sarah Jane, Dodo/Lurker, plus title song is great live! Genesis: Mama, Home By the Sea Invisible Touch: Land of Confusion, Domino We can't Dance: Fading lights, Dreaming While you Sleep, Driving the Last Spike Calling All Stations: There must Be Some Other way |

I think that was the B side to Many too Many. Good song, with nods to the Gabriel era imo.. |

This is me four years later somewhat. Except its as a result of revisiting Wind & Wuthering and realizing that over the decade of not listening to it even once - I've gone from lukewarm to loving it... more than Trick of the Tail (love the parts of it to death but always found it a little patchy). I'm particularly fond of One for the Vine - and ready to give Genesis post 1976 a fair chance.

Track 8: "...In That Quiet Earth" sends tingles up my spine whenever I hear it. Actually, I quite like "Wind & Wuthering" as a whole. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Pretty much anything from a trick of the tail. I think abacab was when they started to go down the toilet but even that one has a few gems on it.

Yeah, from Abacab I also like "man on the corner" and the title track along with those mentioned. Keep it dark is not too bad either. From the self titled(shapes)album I also like "silver rainbow." I think that's a rather under rated song. Also, I assume you are including second home by the sea when you just say HBTS. You can't forget part two. ;) From IT I also like "the brazilian" a lot. The title track is at least catchy and also "tonight times three" sounds like an epic pop song with a prog instrumental middle section that has a nice build to it so that one is fine by me as well. I'm not as familiar with the last two but I agree "fading lights" is worthy of a mention. Maybe their last proggy epic. CAS sounds pretty close to neo prog to me since most of the songs seem to be shorter. I don't despise it like some seem to and in some ways it's less commercial than the five or six or so before it but ultimately I admit it does fall a bit short.

I like all of A Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering, but Blood on the Rooftops is to me a transcendent piece (still gives me goosebumps). I absolutely adore it. |

^ off topic but I keep wanting to ask. Who are all the guys at the bottom of your posts?
Just wondering if they are connected or just random guys. ( May be they all played Dr. Who? )

No, not random (from left to right): Bela Bartok (Hungarian composer) John Lydon (née Rotten, vocalist with PIL) Mark E Smith (vocalist with the Fall) Frankie Boyle (Scottish comedian) Ray Davies (singer with the Kinks) Peter Capaldi as Malcolm F Tucker (actor, who did play Dr Who) Tom Verlaine (guitarist and singer with Television)
