[ CQ from googling: Charles Qualey (1933-2016), American engineer or something. ]
Dennis Quaid (b. 1954), American actor. After EQ there's a big gap for me; actually KQ is the next one I can think of.

Portuguese writer, a giant in the realist style. He's probably the most knwon Portuguese writer after Camoens and Fernando Pessoa, |

Not posting FQ or GQ of unknown persons found by name googling. Actually also this one I found by googling, but I at least I've read a novel by his son.
Henri Queffélec (1910 – 1992), French writer and screenwriter, considered a great maritime novelist. The KQ I'm thinking of is an actress who has acted for example astronaut's wife. After that I'll have a gap until P, R and S. Hopefully we won't be stuck for a very long time in Q - gaps are all right! Also feel free to give hints for certain challenging initials.

Q is not a great problem for those from Portugal, Spain & Latin America: lots of Queiroz, Quevedo, Quintana, Quental, Quiroga, etc.
Liliana Queiroz (b. 1985). Portuguese model. Not historical but pictorial. |

Oliver Queen (b. 1985), fictional character in the television series Arrow (2012 - ).
Actually I googled, I'm not familiar with Arrow. But I just found out my idea for PQ was false: the detective story writer is Quentin Patrick, not Patrick Quentin.

Raymond Queneau (1903 – 1976), French novelist, poet, critic and editor. His Exercises of Style (1947) is hilarious, telling the same short and insignificant chain of happenings in 99 different ways! |
