Carmen - Time (She's No Lady) only 1 min 24 sec in length but it just sticks in your head for life.

Lady in Black is brilliant and would have got my vote if Lady Fantasy wasn't there.

hmm that Uriah Heep song is pretty awesome. I thought they were much heavier than that...which album might you recommend to a folkie?

damn right it is awesome Ken.. if you liked that one.. you might check out 'The Park' from the same album. However Uriah Heep was pretty heavy... I would recommend Salisbury from which both songs came from (and one of my first prog albums that exposed me to prog as a kid)... but it and U.H. rocked pretty hard.

I didn't realize how big they were in the UK - 12 chart albums between 1971 and 1985!

did Cat Stevens have song called "Lady"? The only one I can think of is "Lady D'Arbainville", one of his best songs IMO

^ apparently UH was big in Germany and other parts of Europe too.
The only song I remember hearing on the radio was "Return to Fantasy" which I think might have had John Wetton as singer?

Should that song really be mentioned in a prog forum though? Sure, it's good and it's arguably the first disco song but it's not even prog related. Ok, I'll admit those costumes are pretty prog but that's about it.

^ probably not...and if it's from 1975 it's nowhere near the first disco song, since 1974 was full of disco if not earlier.
