Uzva

Hope you´ve listened also something else from Finland, Uzva is good, but I think here´s greater progbands (specially in the seventies).

I have a special interest in Scandinavian prog and Finnish prog is something I am always on the lookout for.
Uzva is for me the best progband from Finland ever, followed by Pekka Pohjola, Piirpauke, WigWam and Tasavallan Presidentii. Other great bands include Taipuva Luotisuora, Hidria Spacefolk and Jeavestone. But there is so much more, I can't think of out of the blue (without googlesearching).

But why would you say other bands are better than Uzva, when I list it as a favorite band? It comes over as rude and condescending. I hope you mean better than that.

Have a wonderful day.
Sorry, I didn´t mean to be rude at all, just hadn´t know how much you know about Finnish prog. I know Uzva is also here quite respected, but I just haven´t found it as great as Wigwam, Pekka Pohjola, Tasavallan Presidentti etc. Too much improvisation, too little great musical themes, also I think they really much remind those 70ties greats but just can´t achieve fully the same greatness IMO. But of course it´s just my opinion, everybody can have own.

Great day you too!

Hmmm...I don't believe I've ever posted on this one. Okay, from a longevity point of view, total number of albums from particular performers, and in no particular order:

The Beatles
Pink Floyd
Jethro Tull
Neil Young
Yes
Led Zeppelin
The Moody Blues
Black Sabbath
Genesis
David Bowie

And those that have left the main list after a period of time but still hang about:

The Doors
Zappa
Alice Cooper
King Crimson
The Who
Jimi Hendrix
Fairport Convention

to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

^When you seem to like Green Day that much, really hope you`ve heard the Jam. I have always thought Green Day is just a nineties copy of the Jam. And Offspring is nineties copy of Misfits.

I do thoroughly enjoy the Jam; however, I've always thought Green Day to be more similar to later Hüsker Dü. A lot of the chord progressions and melody choices off of 39/Smooth and Kerplunk! could've easily been from Candy Apple Grey or Warehouses.

^Yeah, you´re right, they also remind Hüsker Dü. Anyway I haven´t ever found their music anything that interest me.

^ Cluster, The Fall and Swans feel so out of place in there. I love it.
