^When you seem to like Green Day that much, really hope you`ve heard the Jam. I have always thought Green Day is just a nineties copy of the Jam. And Offspring is nineties copy of Misfits.

I do thoroughly enjoy the Jam; however, I've always thought Green Day to be more similar to later Hüsker Dü. A lot of the chord progressions and melody choices off of 39/Smooth and Kerplunk! could've easily been from Candy Apple Grey or Warehouses.
