I don't know if it's for this thread or proto-prog in unexpected public place.
Anyway, it was a pub in Richmond (UK)

Just discovered this English Style Old Ale, love this stuff! According to the signage at Total Wine, it is only available 2 months or so around November. It is malty dark and not heavy, damn smooth for 8.7 %alc. Hibernation Ale by Great Divide Brewing Co in Colorado. Sorry I only got a 6-pack...

Any IPA's hiding in your selection? A superb British classic style which has seen a real boost over here with the souped-up American hopped versions on the supermarket shelves. The cask versions are the best (anything under 5% is a pale ale, not the real thing) but have to say the craft/keg versions are very flavoursome when listening to a touch of prog in the evening. Brew Dog's Punk IPA and Jackhammer are worth looking out for if they are getting exported to you all! 🍺

^Plenty of IPAs, but not my favorites. C'mon PA beer consumers, don't let captcha's win! What say ye? Tonight's favorite is excellent, Dragon's Milk. Very smooth dark/stout type of beer and at 11%. Beginning to see sideways....

I didn't read through this whole thread, but my favorite beer is one unavailable here in the USA (at this time... it was available not too long ago) was Theakston's "Old Peculier."
2nd place goes to Maisel Hefeweizen.
