f**ki9ng Captcha. Simply a stupid, time consuming waste of energy. But I digress.

I was watching The Fifth Element for the umpteenth time today, mostly because I love Chris Tucker as the wonderfully warped multi-media, cross-dressing diva Ruby Rhod. Name me a few of your favorite movie character oddities. I'll start with just three so as not to hog the conversation:

Ruby Rhod (Chris Tucker) - The Fifth Element
Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) - Blue Velvet
Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) - Beetlejuice

I am now copying this dialogue so as god-damned Captcha doesn't eat everything again.

yeah...  5th Element is one of those can't pass movies.. like Shawshank.. see it a 100 times.  a thousand times.. No matter how many times...you still don't pass it by when you have a chance... and you just grab the popcorn and chill out and  just dig it.

Actually, this film was pretty much all bizarre characters. This was my favorite though.
Uncle Irvin from The City of Lost Children

Great to see The City of Lost Children mentioned, when I saw this topic before going out yesterday, that was the first film to spring to mind, although I didn't think of Uncle Irvin. Various weirdos from Delicatessan would work too.

Some others that spring to mind:

Alexander DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange)
The kid from Gummo
Willie Wonka (Gene Wilder)
Frank N. Further (Rocky Horror Picture Show)
Jack Torrance (The Shining)
Henry Spencer or Lady in the Radiator (Eraserhead)
Donnie Darko (Donnie Darko)
Benjamin Button (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button)
Various characters in Funky Forest: The First Contact
"One of us, one of us" The cast of Freaks -- or are we the real freaks?

And for a short film: the Mumbler (Mompelaar) -- plus various others.

Which short or not, is one of my favourite films.

Two that popped into my mind were Ron Perlman as Hellboy....and Tim Curry As Frank-N-Furter,

Steve Buschemi in most of the films he stars in but Crazy Eyes in Mr Deeds is super-bizarre.
Another good actor kn the same movie whom also is quite good at bizarre roles is John Turturro

Jeff Goldblum is the most bizarre person in hollywood; both as himself on talk-shows and also in most of hes films.
