Historically I would have voted for Paradise/The Spell with no second thought, if not just for the haunting slide solo in the middle, but now I'm actually a little torn between The Wizard and Circle of Hands. I think I'll go for the former just because it was actually the first Uriah Heep song I heard and it still sticks with me for sentimental reasons.
when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents
Wow!!! One of my favorite Heep's records. Today, I'll vote for Traveler in Time, tomorrow, it could be any of the rest. All great songs, and excellent music.
Amen to that. One of the (many) bands who rarely get a mention on here, but deserve much more attention.
However, the album was a huge source of embarrassment to me. I was looking at the cover at my parents' house, when my mother looked over my shoulder and gasped, "What a rude cover. I wouldn't have expected that of you." I had no idea what she meant - then I saw it.
Until then, I honestly hadn't noticed. Really.
So hat's why Roger had to paint it left handed. Autobiographical implications. Wizard speading the magic...
Fwiw I had not thought of the above until you mentioned it.

WASP did a great Easy Livin' cover on their 1986 album Inside the Electric Circus. It seems Blackie is a Heep fan He collaborated with Hensley a bit later.

As far as I remember, I liked just about all the album (as well as the Wizard's Birthday), but the only song I can remember on this one is Rainbow Demon.

Finally listened this! And I choose Paradise/the Spell, most beautiful & prog tracks on this album. Have to say I prefer more their three first albums, I think they started to repeat themselves a little already in this album, "Easy Livin" is only as strong track in this albums as those I vote.
