Linda Perhacs - vocals/ guitars.
More folk than Prog, but has some glorious acid folk and is in Progarchives (I suggested her). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9VbJmbtMW8 Edited by Logan - February 11 2018 at 10:02 |

Katia Labeque, famous classical pianist, who made an album of Beatles classics with her band B for Bang. here 3 videos of that band:
for some reason this band is still not in the archives, though Friede and I suggested it long ago. she also made albums with John McLaughlin with John McLaughlin: and she recorded the album "Shape of my Heart" with guest musicians like Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Sting |

In what category do you think B For Bang would fit? Those are experimental covers of a band listed in Proto-Prog, but I wouldn't see it as right for the site based on that. If it was covers of a Prog band, then the album would be acceptable in the Various Artists: Tributes category, I would say.
Found the suggestion thread: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48962 Personally, I wouldn't add her based on that. Incidentally, I wonder if Laurie Anderson would fit the Prog Goddess list. I was a supporter of the addition, but not sure if I'd say that the music is Prog proper. In case you think her acceptable (she's listed in Crossover): Laurie Anderson / vocals, vocoder, synth, Farfisa organ, keyboards, violin, percussion, marimba, electronics Edited by Logan - February 11 2018 at 11:28 |

hello! here a link to the album "Across the Universe of Languages" by the band B For Bang. but first the track list: 01) Ouverture 0:29 02) Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite 3:06 03) Interlude 1 1:00 04) Helter Skelter 3:41 05) Golden Slumbers 3:12 06) I Want You (feat. Katell Keineg) 3:59 07) Reminiscence 2:51 08) Happiness Is a Warm Gun (feat. Nadeah) 4:02 09) Julia 4:09 10) Interlude 2 0:23 11) Between Those Rocks 3:29 12) Interlude 3 0:19 13) Blackbird 4:20 14) Come Together 2:47 15) Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds (feat. Meg) 2:39 16) Notes to the Future (feat. Patti Smith) 2:39 17) The Last Man On Earth 6:52 18) One More Song (feat. Daniel Day Lewis) 4:21 most of the tracks float into each other. unfortunately I had to download the tracks one by one and connect them with a software. due to this there is an annoying little pause between any two tracks, even if they would float into each other; try to ignore it. |

B is for Bang is an interesting project but i would call it crossover classical more than prog rock myself. I'll check her out with John McLaughlin

there are some extremely experimental tracks on that album. I think they would perfectly fit into RIO / Avant |

^ now that i'm listening to the actually album, i would agree with you. Very interesting and very different but i think your suggestion of RIO/avant is probably the closest thing unless it would fit under the eclectic tag. I'll definately add it the list on my end and call it eclectic prog / classical crossover :)
Thanks and whoever else is reading this should check it out and see if it fits in somewhere in these here parts

^ I guess that this is a particular list that is post-psychedelic but proto-prog.
Another list would be possible but not my focus at the moment. Feel free to sign up on RYM and make your own though :) Looks like the suggestion spickett is drying up here! Keep em coming if you can think of any more. Thanks to all who have made my list much bigger :)
