hmm strange that many IQ fans still moaning about imho awesome album "The Road Of Bones "  this and Frequency are nearly never not played back to back...

Anybody else been losing their minds over how great that recent `Scrape Across the Sky' Bluray the band put out is? Looks and sounds out of this world, the `Road of Bones' material sounds great with an added heaviness, and perhaps best of all, Pete Nicholl's voice is in amazing form! Surely the guy must still rank among the most charismatic and captivating front-men from the second wave of prog groups? He's incredible to watch on screen, such an unconventional looking singer with a dynamic presence, and his baffling hair is SPECTACULAR!

I love the bluray, it is one of the best concert discs I own. The new material is simply stunning, and Peter simply gets better with each passing album.

BUT - I don't think they ever bettered Tales From The Lush Attic.

Hey Michael. Lol let's forget the hair for a sec. How about the fact that Nicholls wears a frdakin' suit the entire show!! I would die from heat with in 15mins. Lol.
But I guess that is just Nicholls and IQ in general. Very cool with a ton of class and poise.
Like you, I'm definitely freaking out with vigor for just how absolutely great this blu-ray is. In my opinion, it is the single best thing IQ has ever released with in the live concert front, and you can be sure it's right up there with some of the very best Prog live shows I've come across.
The audio quality is really a thing of beauty. We owe a great thanks to Mr. Rob Aubrey. The guy seriously knows what he is doing and for people like me who Invest time, money and research into building great HIFI systems, you can bet this blu ray is a huge investment to and for me. I absolutely love it. No questions asked. It is a bloody masterpiece. If one has the proper audio gear to relinquish Scrape the Sky's codecs/formats I don't think anyone would fight me on my comments.

One for the ages!!! Prog on, gents!

I know this band but don't currently have any of their stuff. I need to rediscover this band. I think they are a must have band for anyone who likes PG era Genesis.

IQ are a true British treasure, from start to present just an astonishing band in all their various guises over the years. My favourite moments are the Ever album and Seventh House but good grief - with a body of work as good as they have I could change my decision in a heartbeat. Always fantastic live, I love the Bury Met gigs!

That always felt to me a bit of a one off really. Some truly beautifull music on that album but the The Wake showed they could be powerfull and beautifull at the same time.
I remember at the time that I was gutted when Pete Nicholls left and was replaced by an eighties pop wannabee. Even though Paul Menel was a talented guy he should never have been in a prog band. Thankfully they managed to pick things up later. The run of albums from Ever has to be one of the best for any band releasing albums post eighties.

If only they would tour the U.S.!!  I am seeing Haken next month.  Certainly I.Q. could pass through at least once before they turn in!
