Here's my first single



I wrote, recorded and mixed it myself and after receiving positive feedback from a few audio engineer acquaintances I finally decided to upload it.

Thank you - I liked it! Started understated and contemplative, but layered up nicely before the real punch a third of the way through. The vocals had a Doors-like darkness to them, with a touch of Nordic noir and post-rock. Smoothing together the transitions a bit more is only thing I can think of - with some bridging techniques perhaps - but I'm nitpicking. Keep it up - well done, sir.

I imagine transitions would feel more natural in a band scenario, I like the contrast when it hits and felt a classic bridge would be more predictable.

Quite right - heard it again and the changes work well and are quite striking - you never quite know what's around the corner. Refreshing. 😀
