Are Agalloch growlers?  I've heard good reviews on them, but I seem to recall my only taste of them involved growling and other guttural noises.

they use a variety of vocal techniques. there is some growling but it is by no means exclusive or terribly extensive (at least comparatively)  black metal vocals are the most common, which would probably be equally as disliked as growling tbh

Yep.  Not really a fan of black metal vocals either.  Only in small doses.

that said, I'd still recommend The Mantle

So my dad loves double salted Dutch black licorice. I don't like regule North American licorice but I decided to try one anyway (his bday was on the 10th and he got said licorice).

So my question is... do people eat it in Holland or was it created to troll tourists? @Twseel

it ain't no troll, supermarkets have seperate sections for licorice, varying from standard black in all shapes and sizes, salmiak hybrids, the sweeter coloured ones('English' licorice) and gummy hybrids. A lot of people keep it in their cars, you just grab a few and you can chew for 10 minutes!
