I am giving you the name and number of a proctologist on the other side of town. He should be able to fix your vision.

It seems you need a urologist for your hearing as well.

I googled Jon Tilbury then googled The Hand of Caravaggio and was rewarded with a pretty good read (unrelated to the music piece that Tilbury is involved in though) https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2016/6/15/1538848/-The-Hand-of-Caravaggio-A-400-Year-Old-Italian-Baroque-Mystery-Art

Well if you like Tilbury and Rowe already might as well go all out with AMM.

Derek Bailey is another stalwart of the genre. Plenty of solo recordings to enjoy, although I much prefer his collaborations. (Dart Drug with KC's Jamie Muir is a fun listen) Bailey has also been in many larger ensembles that would fit in the bill such as the Spontaneous Music Ensemble and Company.

Perhaps a bit more in the free jazz field, Anthony Braxton, Han Bennink, and Andrea Centazzo have dabbled in free improv as well.

Perhaps my favorite in this line is The Topography Of The Lungs by Bailey/Bennink/Parker.

I knew Keith Rowe was in AMM but not Tilbury. Gotta check them out. I'm familiar with Bailey and Braxton (my dad taught at a jazz camp where Braxton also taught once), though the only album with Bailey on it that I've listened to is David Sylvian's Blemish. Bennink, I know of, but I haven't heard an album from him yet. I've been planning to listen to The Topography of the Lungs, though.

I'll check out Milford Graves. I'm down for noise and EAI, but especially EAI.

I'll check out Milford Graves. I'm down for noise and EAI, but especially EAI.

Tilbury joined later (I think in the late 70s or early 80s) but there is a whole host of albums with the trio of Rowe Tilbury and Prevost. Of those I'd recommend, Before Driving To The Chapel We Took Coffee With Rick And Jennifer Reed, Combine + Laminates, and Newfoundland.

Bennink has done a whole host of collabs, one that might be of interest for you is The Grass Is Greener with Even Parker. (One of my favorite jazz trios is Brotzmann, Bnnink, and Van Hove but they are much more free jazz than free improv)

Cool story with your dad teaching at the same place with Braxton. Did he ever get a chance to meet him?

I got my story wrong. He was actually a student at the camp. But, yeah, he did get to meet Braxton and perform some of his pieces.

^ I'd say that's cooler. And nice. Braxton is definitely someone where any conversation of any topic would be completely fascinating.

I've been working all summer and I'm not at school this semester, so it feels norm for me.
