I hadn't noticed that thing about shared singers on 6 Wives and Dark Side... I'll have to check it out. It's a nice anecdotes (good for the Obscure Prog Facts that was around for a good time a while ago).
Well only two singers were the same for both sessions(Liza Strike and Barry St. John)but you can still hear strong similarities in the backing vocals nonetheless.
I guess I'll have to pay attention to that aspect next time I listen to those albums... specially 6 Wives.

And that Catherine of Aragon performed by almost the CTTE lineup.. anything done by that version of Yes has to be good! From Oldfield you might want to add his latest, Return to Ommadawn, to the list. Also wonderful and the closest he has come to his 70's magic since... well, the 70's. Actually, listening to that one it's like a time machine brought that album to be released just now after recording it back then. I don't think many artists have been so succesful at trying to recapture their golden days decades after (including Oldfield himself with previous attempts) Also, Songs from distant Earth is a wonderful instrumental album, even though that one didn't try to recreate his 70's sound, but be something new. He's got many other instrumental albums, but I haven't got them all yet.

I feel your pain buddy. But you shouldn't lose your whole post. Just click back one screen and do the test again.. if you click all the way back to your post then it'll be gone and lost. For me, even if it says I don't have access to the page(or whatever it says), I just click back one and do the test again(without losing anything).

Yes & genesis 1970-1977 have far more quality and consistency.
I would recommend - The Par Lindh project - Gothic Impressions - thats very ELP in parts and It's a brilliant CD!
