Of the former my favorite is Imikuzushi, but all four (or five...I forget)) are worth hearing for their wonderful free-rock escapades. 

My favorite of the latter is Uhrfasudhasdd...which I mean, how can it not be with a title like that.

The British label Contort Yourself is releasing a 2XLP of '80's era industrial, noise, dark ambient, and minisynth rarities, and Eric Copeland of Black Dice has been very busy with solo material this year.

hmm, I only know Merzbow there; and really, aren't there way too many releases like this already? and there are few that actually capture the technical and atmospheric qualities of these artists properly, like the noise & electronic series on Sub Rosa(although not focused on obscurities), most just sound inconsistent and random...

Fair point. Figure I might as well take a shot in the dark with it anyways, especially since it includes a cut from Nocturnal Emissions, a project that I recommend highly.
