There's just too much stuff out there.

Heh, it's awesome, Gary! I tend to do one massive bender of an order every three-four months with little catch-up titles here and there in between, but yours are like a...constantly flowing stream or something!

^ Yeah, I know, Michael. I don't really know how to explain it. Not long ago my list of pending deliveries was down to about five albums.
After today's delivery it's still up around twenty-five. When I find an album I want on Discogs I've gotten in the habit of clicking on the link to other albums available from that seller. So, a one album order usually ends up being a three album order. The other day I noticed that my new vinyl collection had hit 700 and I had to wonder where the hell all those albums came from.

Been a while since I posted here, but damn it if I don't miss my friends. So yeah writing a post here hoping the robot thang doesn't appear
I've bought quite a few interesting releases lately - most of em 2017 releases: Faust - Fresh Air (Great comeback from a band I thought had turned on the eternal autopilot. Guess not because this is every bit as exhilarating and progressive as the Faust of old - sounding like a mix of the early rambunctious days of So Far and something altogether new.) Julie's Haircut - Invocation and Ritual Dance of my Evil Twin (Saucy Krautrockadelia - brilliantly played too) Hedersleben - Orbit (Together with Sweden's anonymous psych rockers Goat this band sounds like the modern version of Amon Düül ll...only easier to digest. Whereas Hedersleben is comparable to weed - Amon Düül ll, a wild peyote trip sans pants.) Slowdive - s/t (Dreampop+shoegaze royalty does comeback and strikes gold amongst all the wretched emo-hipsters lurking the interwebs. I quite like it too...but I prefer Cocteau Twins.) Parliament - Up For The Downstroke (Bowchikawaaouwaaou) Tinariwen - Emmaar (I am so into these guys. Imagine this Arabian nomad tribe being introduced to the sounds of the 60s and then heavily inspired by things that passed oh so long ago they set out to make their own 60s music - only filtered through the sand dunes of the Sahara.) Oh and I've purchased yet another pair of headphones This time though I went mad - or the seller did at the very least. Either way the Hifiman HE-400 are my new cans Here in Denmark these puppies will cost you more than 500 dollars right off the shelf (3400 kroner). I got a used pair (used hah!!! Nahh the cable were used - the cans not so much (I'm not even sure how that is possible unless the previous owner only used the cable for skipping)) for 75 bucks Verdict? Errrmm...

I was absolutely curious about this one and was considering putting in a pre-order as well, mate. Have you heard any samples/sound any good? |

^ Nope, I just read the description, I'm hoping to be positively surprised I bought it mostly because I wanted the other album and was waiting for a new release from the label to get cheaper shipping.

I rather dig Orbit and it's peculiar violin riffs - yet another nod to Amon Düül ll and Chris Karrer...but it took me a couple of spins before I was able to take it in. Some times I listen to music but nothing registers in my cabeza - especially during the last year where my body has been completely fecked.
Yeah those Hifimans were the deal of the century. Holy smokes they sound great! Planar magnetic too so a little heavy...but still comfortable. I see you bought the new Ayreon eh? I also purchased some new cheese here the other day but it was an Italian one compared to your Dutch; Parmesan

I can imagime. Comfort is almost as important as sound quality in my opinion. That's the only Dutch cheese I know and it's delicious
You'll have to be quick, they only have one copy left.

Yeah I'll recommend the new Munk and Schnauss album as well. It is a very dreamy affair. Had not heard about another one though so thanks for the heads up Samuel
Comfort is key for me as well regarding headphones - no sense in purchasing a Ferrari if the driver seat is made out of cactus. I was actually thinking about doing a new thread on headphones and such (amps+dacs+pads). It's not that I believe all the snake-oil surrounding this particular subject but the direct opposite: weed through all the riff raff and end up with real recs and info.
