Anybody remember this great band from Norway? They went through a lot of changes in 10 or so years they were together both style & lineups. Their proggiest album was New Born Day from 1974 but they had some great jazz-rock in the later part of the 70s. Surprised to find these vids on Youtube.

Listening to them, beer in hand, naked on the front porch is my favorite hobby.

Love this RUPHUS album.
Actually, Prog bands from Norway are quickly taking over from my other favourite Proggers, Sweden.

I picked up a copy of New born day from Norway which had a huge fold out poster; a fantasic photo of the band in front of a huge ramshackle wooden Norwegian mansion, dressed in medieval cum Lutherian outfits!! Splendid!LOLClap A great lp, a little lumpy in parts but a great document of Norwegian heavy-prog of that time.

For some reason, whenever I spin New Born Day, the production side of things always reminds me of Scorpions' Fly To The Rainbow album. Maybe it's the punchy rhythm section??
Oh, that Svanfridur album is full of goofball lyrics
