The 40th Anniversary of Jethro Tull's Songs From The Wood. Once again, not too fond of Wilson's remix, and yet, once again, I like the stuff that came with it. Love the live concert and Dee (then David) Palmer's recollections of this era of the band, including how the songs were arranged and the argument with Terry Ellis about painting the portative pipe organs.

Jethro Tull remain quite an elusive band to me. I can’t quite get into them. I like Aqualung and some parts of Thick As A Brick, but just found them to be ‘missing’ something. I listened to A Passion Play a few nights ago and found it quite a slog to get through.

You're not alone when it comes to A Passion Play. I find that to be one of their weaker records. |

I take it the sound quality on the live concert is good? That's really the only thing I want in this package.

Holy smokes this is good! Bought it after Kjetil Møster compared it with the music of Reflections in Cosmo, his newest collaboration, with Ståle Storløkken, Thomas Strønen and Hans Magnus Ryan. Hope the album lives up to the comparison, but I'll be happy if it just comes close to how awesome they were when I saw them live back in '15. Ordered: Irabagon, Hegre & Drønen - Axis Kayo Dot - Hubardo Krokofant - s/t III Motorpsycho - Angels and Daemons at Play (deluxe edtition) Motorpsycho - Begynnelser Reflections in Cosmo - s/t Bought: Can - Can DVD King Crimson - Discipline The Mothers of Invention - Freak Out! The Mothers of Invention - We're Only in It for the Money Frank Zappa & the Mothers - Over-Nite Sensation The Mothers of Invention - One Size Fits All Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage Acts I, II & III Frank Zappa - Road Tapes, Venue #2 and tickets to see Reflections in Cosmo next month, as well as Motorpsycho doing their theater thing (also next month) and performing with their new drummer at Oslo Konserthus in September.

Yeah, the sound is good and so is the DVD. BTW, just got the 2-disc set Sgt. Pepper remix. Outside of a few quibbles, I think the remix is solid. As for the mono stuff, I'll probably just stick with getting the Beatles In Mono box set. |

It was just a coincidence that four orders arrived on the same day. One thing I noticed right away was that they're all black vinyl except one which is very different from my usual orders.
