I'll be sure to report back Tymon.
Heh seeing you mention those crazy Canadians Zacht Automaat I thought I'd sample a bit of their discography. Ended up downloading most of their albums Starting out with Bags Inside Bags (as I love that title) but would be glad to hear if you know of some better starting point - considering my tastes.

Disturbed Ground is in my opinion their best album. Perfectly sums up everything I love about their sound. It's currently one of my top albums of all time. I Can Feel Mold in Me (dead slow, no wake) is also excellent, perhaps more adventurous and experimental. But it's nothing that would melt your mind. I'm glad you are investigating them - I was blown away having heard them for the first time. Amazing band that definitely deserves more attention. |

Sorry dude but wow that was bad! I couldn't finish the album. Sun Araw goes ambient with a backing band of spastic toddlers on electronic squeaky toys r' us percussion Sorta like chiptune on bad ayahuasca. Oh well I've loved pretty much everything else I've heard by the man. Thanks for the heads up on Zacht Automaat btw Edited by Guldbamsen - May 10 2017 at 07:08 |

Have you checked out Sun Araw's collaborations yet Tymon? Icon Give Thank (psychedelic electro dub) Night Gallery (akin to Krautrock). They're still my favourites although On Patrol is up there.

I liked the formula, but it does get boring, I admit. If it was a 35-minute-ish album and if Cameron threw at least one more spacey track, it would have been excellent. I can't say I dislike it though. And let me know what you think about those Zacht Automaat albums me and Sam recommended. I promise, it won't be that bad.
I love Icon Give Thank, Sun Araw's more dubby psychedelic stuff is, for me, where it's all at. Also, those chanting vocals by The Congos add a lot of soul. Night Gallery with The Eternal Tapestry is, in my opinion, pretty good, though a tiny bit underwhelming. Music from Harvester he recorded with Nicholas Malkin on Farfisa organ is very interesting. It's, for the most part, noodling that explores the "plastical" characteristics of the instruments, but I found it a lot of fun to listen to.
Also great albums. As It Is Spoken, It Shall Be Done especially. Probably their most Canterburian work. But there are even elements of doom in there! Also, very nice loot there, Sam! Enjoy those albums. Edited by ALotOfBottle - May 10 2017 at 08:24 |

I know I will, although the Area album is the one I'm less familiar with. They also had a vinyl reissue of the Cosmic Jokers debut but my suspicions were correct, it's a terrible bootleg. I can recognise them from a distance now

Thanks you guys - oh and I was actually wondering about Music from Harvester as I am a big sucker for farfisa organ - though more it's psychedelic qualities or as Floyd puts it Turkish delights.
Been waiting a month for Klaus Johann Grobe's debut - it's vinyl so I don't mind waiting a little longer + the fact that I still quite can't move away from Spagat der Liebe |
