Well, people used to worship it for a reason. And don't forget JA is from the north of England - as am I - where it's a good year if you see the sun twice. So it's definitely something to get excited about.

Except for radioactive rocks, all the energy on earth comes from the sun. Sounds worthy of worship to me.

It's a very popular Anderson theme for sure. Heart of The Sunrise, South Side of The Sky, Giants Under The Sun, etc. It's his go-to.

High vibrations go on....to the sun oh let my heart dreaming....
Past a mortal as me...where can I be?
Wish the sun to stand still
Reaching out to touch our own being
Past a mortal as me. here we can be.
That lyric is really just...words kind of fail me. Jon said it all.

Yeah, there's that scene in Legend where the sun comes out to defrost the ice world and Jon is provided the chance to sing about it in all his splendor. Pretty campy stuff.

She didn't say that, and I'm nowhere near a hardcore Trekkie.

Maybe he's trying to lull us into complacency by claiming to like the sun when in fact he really wants to destroy it. Since the beginning of time, man has yearned to destroy the Sun.

Cloudy days are awesome. The sun is OK, if you have some shade around.
