I've gotten a fair amount of furniture and electronics from the garbage, but sadly I assume often they take away the garbage before the people who would want it get to go through it. There should be some kind of a subarea in the garbage area where you could leave stuff and it would stay there for a week or two. Maybe several areas and they would be numbered from 0 to 13, and when you would take out the garbage you would leave it in area 13, and on the next day it would be moved to area 12 (someone would be hired to do the daily moving) and then to area 11 and so on, and if it would get to area 0 without anyone taking it it would finally be taken away.

We have craigslist in the US, but it's not great tbh. I've been trying to sell some music equipment for a few weeks now and have only gotten scam offers.

that sounds slightly involved for something like trash.

I feel like the city dump would offer you much of the same benefits with only limited extraneous drawbacks.

I know people who have used it successfully without being murdered/raped/scammed. I have never used it myself, but I might one day.
