Hey Gary, have you ever heard the first Zone Six album with the female singer? I've got the CD of that, bought it aaaaaaaaaages ago, I'm not sure if it's even available anymore. Really great stuff, though, pretty dark and intense!

Last night's choices:

The Byrds – Live at the Fillmore, February 1969
Gentle Giant – Interview (really might be my favourite GG album)
Gila – s/t
Cosmic Jokers – s/t
Daevid Allen & Microcosmic – Sacred Geometry
Dirk Serries – Disorientation Flow

Gong – I See You (This album is completely f*cking spectacular, just as good as their Seventies classics in many ways without sounding like a tired retro throwback).

Hard to say at first listen, but it didn't disappoint and it's very different from the debut.

^^^  No, I haven't heard that one. Psychedelic Scripture and Any Noise Is Intended are the earliest ones I've heard. I'll give it a listen today.

What'd you think of the last couple Nurse With Wound albums?

Love them! Haven't listened to everything yet (far from it), but the things that I've heard - they really vibrate with me. Nurse With Wound is probably one of my favorite acts at the moment. Splendid music, extremely fascinating.
EDIT: I'm sorry if I understood you incorrectly. If you mean the newest NWW releases, I have not heard any of them, sadly. But I will check them out once I'm done with the "classic" albums.

Queensrÿche--Rage For Order

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

No, you're good, I meant the last couple that you had listened to. I haven't even heard the latest releases (there are a lot of NWW albums). Sorry about that. Good to see you're enjoying the music, Homotopy To Marie should put a stop to that (probably one of the most terrifying albums I own). It's the best of their "collage" works. Speaking of bizarre industrial, of Throbbing Gristle's work, do you prefer The Second Annual Report or DOA The Third and Final Report? I just got around to listening to the latter for the first time, and I thought it was fantastic, probably better than the former.

O.rang - Herd of Instinct
Dorothy Ashby - Afro-Harping
Herbie Hancock - Empyrean Isles
Throbbing Gristle - The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle

Yesterday, all in Portuguese (or instrumental):
Petrus Castrus - Mestre
Trovante - Chão Nosso
Torga Ostera - Queda Ascendente
Banda do Casaco - Contos da Barbearia
Camel - A Live Record (Second disc. One thing I like in this more than the studio version of Snow Goose is the applause in the end to wake me up Sleepy I think there's barely anything interesting on side B.)

Oooh, shots fired, Sam!

I can't comment either way. I only picked up that album for the first time less than a year ago, but I don't think I've even listened to it yet. Disappointingly I'd hoped to listen to it on this current nightshift, only to find that I hadn't transferred it onto my IPod. will have to report back.

Gary and Sam, I just bought Oresund Space Collective's `Visions of...' earlier today, sadly only the CD version for this one, which is a shame because the cover is gorgeous, but I noticed the 42 minutes piece was split over two sides, and that sort of thing always does my head in! .

I also grabbed Dr Space's `Alien Planet Trip: Vol 1', which is only getting a vinyl release at this point, not too many copies left, so I'd suggest jumping on it if you're interested! Sounds great, a dark drony electronic work with lots of distortion and swirling effects.

There is a strong possibility I'll think the same - I do not remember DOA all that well, but love The Second Annual Report. Will have to revisit both soon, thanks for a reminder. Wink

You don't know the studio version either? I got rid of my copy last year because it was in terrible condition, but I don't know if I'll buy another, this live version seems enough.
