A strange top 10, because it features not all fan favorites, apparently songs like Skating Away, Hymn 43, Mother Goose, Bourre, Thick as a Brick etc. are missing.
But this is Ian's personal top 10, according to this article: http://teamrock.com/feature/2015-07-21/ian-anderson-s-favourite-jethro-tull-songs Have fun voting. I voted for Budapest

I've been critical on the Aqualung album recently but the song itself is the essential Jethro Tull.

love all of these but it's a toss up between the two classics for me
Aqualung or Locomotive Breath went with Aqualung today |

Tough choice here. All fit different moods. Went with Songs From the Wood.

You're saying "My God" isn't one of his top ten? It's certainly my favorite by him... cough... cough... them.

As a long time Tull fan, it's hard for me to choose, not only for the music itself, but for all the great, fun memories I have listening to all this songs, and the rest of Tull's catalog. It's like picking who is your favorite child. I like them all, for different reasons, and I simply cannot choose.

"Songs From The Wood"! Fave Tull = the 'folk' trilogy (SFTW, Heavy Horses, Stormwatch).

Songs from the Wood is rather Gentle Giantish imo. It's also the one I voted for(not just because it's very prog but also I think it's very under rated).

It's soooo pretentious of him to not include A Passion Play.

Aqualung. Nothing is Easy as runner-up. I do like that line about kitchen prose and gutter rhymes, however, Songs From the Wood is a great example of what I consider rhythmically dull in Tull of that period. Ian's cymbals there do nothing to shake me of that.

There's a 'Tull "best of" CD where in the liner notes, Anderson states that the collection is what he considers to be the band's best (I have it, but I just can't recall its name). Just thought I'd mention it.
