My second favorite artist of all-time. My favorites aren't too unique, but whatever:
1. Ocean Machine - Biomech 2. Terria 3. SYL - City 4. DTP - Addicted 5. SYL - Alien
Those are my top five albums. He's such an amazing, creative, and entertaining musician. Even his weakest are still at least decent.

Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

Massive DT fan here. Proud to also be Canadian!
Faves would probably be Ziltoid The Omniscient, Addicted, Ghost, Epicloud, and Sky Blue. Love 'em all though.

Dev must be the only artist of any genre that I go to for emotional therapy, it continues to resonate so close to me. It really inspires me when I'm at a low point, as we're all aware. Life is a bitch, it's not easy for everyone. Dev's music reflects both on personal struggle and something more spiritually enlightening, I don't know how to say it, there's something more there for me <3

Townsend's music is wonderfully idiosyncratic. He's also one of those rare artists that manages to exude a tremendous amount of charisma and originality without feeling forced or self-absorbed. He covers a wide gamut of ideas, from thoughtful to silly, crass to refined, but with one constant: fun. He's just damn fun. Just looking at the man makes me smile. He's nearly impossible to dislike.
I've not listened to his work in some years now, but being swept away in the cosmic tide of Ziltoid's tale was one of those lightbulb moments when I realized I was addicted. I must have had that album on loop every day for a year.
