the sea is just in your mind. believe it's not there and it won't be
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

That's a deep sea of thought
You'll find me in when
Rails won't cross o'er to you
I'll write a letter to the
Transit requesting a tunnel
And I'll lay the tracks myself
once it's dug

When I'm through with my
Labors, I'll tie up the raft
you'll find me on
When the deep sea of thought
Brings me closer to you

That sounds more difficult to cross.

You would have to cross a Great Lake in order to come and visit me.

some of the great lakes are small, especially compared to the sea

I assume that is probably either at the Detroit River or the St. Clair River.  I can't imagine anybody being able to swim across one of the lakes.

You'd be surprised... Vicki Keith has swam across all five. Certainly not while drunk, though!

Damn. You're right.

Maybe we need a train tunnel under Ontario and Superior.
Oh but then Mexico might not pay for the wall we'd need to put up. Hmm...
