We'll not pry into why he loves you and just take it as an immutable fact of life.

Because she knows I will always be there for her, support her, share in her life and always...ALWAYS make her laugh. Interestingly enough, we are in many ways complete opposites and the poster couple for 'Opposites attract'. Over the years we have picked up each others opposite habits. I am now more comfortable in the kitchen and she knows what direction she is headed when driving (I tested her extensively when we first were dating). We are both creative yet analytical and have a shared passion for the outdoors and exploration. When I decided to get married (and it was never an imperative for me) I knew that she was probably the only person that could put up with my nonsense. Like all marriages it's never been perfect, but we are both always working to make it successful. Plus, she's met our Prime Minister and still she stays with me. What more could a guy ask?

It's a mystery but it worked out well for me so I don't ask too many questions.

He best hope we never meet. If he puts half the focus on our country as he did on my wife, we'll come out just fine.

Can't answer that for her. But for me. We were teens when we met. I remember how shy both of us were, two introverts. I remember the first time I held her hand and for me it was literally electric, I don't know how else to describe it. She was so beautiful. I remember buying her a gift and handing it to her as we parted ways after work one night..I said "wait aren't you gonna open it?" She said with confidence but nonchalance "i know what it is." She did. Awkward steps in those first months, i was no smooth guy. Her trust was not easy to get for reasons I won't get into. But eventually we developed a friendship that became the most important thing in my life.

I'm quick to say sorry. I love our kids v I have a calming voice. I care for her and protect her. I give her what she wants and she gives me everything I need. It's a 22 year relationship.

Oh great, it's the "adults brag about their happiness" thread back up again
Have a sympathetic thought for us youngsters, as we try fumble through our loneliness, awkwardness, and failed romantic advances, always wondering in the back of our minds whether we'll die alone...
(The above comment is partly sarcastic, please continue to appreciate the loves of your lives)

Wife listened to the Yes album yesterday, without to much protest- some progress beyond her favourite Moody Blues but still along way to go to get to Zappa.......................

She is my high school sweetheart, so far 31 years of awesomeness! I take care of her, protect her, stand up for her....I got her back and she knows it. As with any marriage/family life there are bumps along the way, some pretty serious and we always work out a plan and get through it together.
We still hold hands as we walk in public, I hold her hand while I am driving, open car door for her, we kiss goodnight and good morning....Why she loves me? Not sure I can answer for her, but these are things we still do together and I know it helps me through tough days.
Also I know because when I buy tickets to prog concerts she goes along and then asks me as we arrive to the venue...."Who are we seeing again??" So far she has always said, "That was a great concert!", as we walk holding hands to the car.
