What is your favorite track from this superb album? You can rank them in order if you want.
I would rank album tracks like this:
1.Natural Science
2.Jacob's Ladder
3.Freewill
4.Entre Nous
5.The Spirit of Radio
6.Different Strings.

Natural Science is undoubtely the best for me, and in top 5 favorite Rush songs.

On an album with nothing but consistently great material, I'd have to give it to the second half, so 'Jacob's Ladder', 'Freewill', and TSoR rank at the bottom.   In fact I'd put Different Strings at the top of my list.

All equally, my preferred Rush album. The nod goes to Freewill for some lyrics that work for me. Perfect album though.

First vote for "Entre Nous." I think it's one of Neil's finest lyrics, and I love the spastic changes of time signature in the chorus.

Rush's strongest album as far as I'm concerned. All great tracks except Entre Nous, which I consider merely good. But the best?

THE SPIRIT OF RADIOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Cool

Freewill is the ass-kicker here.  Just play that solo again if you doubt me.  Smile

As I've already stated, I don't like Rush all that lot. But Different Strings and Natural Science where two great songs. Alongside The Camera Eye.

I don't normally like Rush all that much, but Jacob's Ladder is actually quite great; the one song that lives up to Rush's reputation. Permanent Waves in general might be their most consistently listenable album.

Natural Science for sure, but Freewill is not far behind.
This is a great Rush record, more accessible for starters than their earlier material.

The ones I really love on this album are Jakob's Ladder and Natural Science. I think Natural Science would take my overall preference, but I would need to listen to it again to make sure.

Jacobs Ladder for me.

A very strong album all round.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

A great album, nothing mediocre on it.

But Jacob's Ladder is simply immense.

Jacob's Ladder gets the nod, followed by Freewill and Spirit of Radio.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

One of my favorite Rush albums, and I have to go with Natural Science. Different Strings is a close second though.
