"All the shops in Oslo are children of the King of Ekeberg"? I'm Norwegian, and I can't say I've ever heard the Norwegian language being described as 'pretty', it's more commonly described as being very monotone and difficult to learn and follow for non-native speakers.

I dunno, I just love this album, it has a beautiful, organic sound, great playing and memorable melodies. It has a certain vibe, or atmosphere I can immerse myself in and get taken away. What all great music should do. And it's a fantastic package as LP., but they botched the track-listing on the sides - side one has tracks 1-3, side 2 is 4-7. Minor flaw, and Froislie's keyboard credits don't match up. Almost perfect, then. |

^^ You're right, Tom, it means "changelings". Love their debut, but was a bit disappointed with their sophomore effort. I have their latest, but haven't gotten around to listen to it yet. I have, however, heard that track, "Ekebergkongen", live, when they opened for Enslaved a few years back. Don't know where CC got "shop" from, it's definitely "changelings" (byttinger).
Anyway, before: Now: First listen.

Classic "excuse me while I kiss this guy" moment from me there caused by a difference in dialects... It is indeed translatable as changelings

^^ "Butikker", of course.
To erroneously quote Bob Dylan, as he's so relevant these days, "The ants are my friends, they're blowing in the wind".
