Throes of Dawn - atmospheric dark metal from Finland, from their current album Our Voices Shall Remain. This is an excellent track with a Pink Floyd-ish guitar solo towards the end.

Nice track PhideauxFan, added to my playlist. Been enjoying listening to Throes of Dawn this weekend. Here is another track with some brilliant guitar work from their previous album Great Fleet of Echos, similar to early Anathema. Edited by deandob - September 05 2016 at 03:43 |

Quantum Fantay, one of the best bands playing instrumental psychedelic/space-rock.

In a similar vein, I assume you have heard of Ozric Tentacles? Edited by deandob - September 06 2016 at 06:14 |

Thanks for this recommendation! I've been listening to this and the newest album via Spotify and am suitably impressed. It's very reminiscent of Anathema circa Alternative IV--when the group showed a heavy Pink Floyd influence.

Glad you like them. Really some amazing prog bands from the Scandinavian countries, lots to discover (and they almost always sing in English also). In return, do share some recommendations that you think we might not have heard and may like.
