The late Demetrio Stratos was the singer of the italian Band Area. He got a very unique voice and did a strange kind of voice modulation or yoddeling. I always sought he was the only one doing this (a part from the Austrians). I heard lately a Horace Silver cover (Song for my father) by a Jazz singer named Leon Thomas. In the middle of the song he improvises and he does this same yoddeling as Stratos. Does anyone know if there is a connection between the 2 singers : workshop, master class, records ?

The only other guy I know to use a similar method of singing is that guy from the Neville Brothers. Not prog I know but I suppose it just goes to show that Stratos is one of a very select group of singers that use such an unusual technique.
I must remind the right honourable gentleman that a monologue is not a decision.
