Bushman's Revenge - Bushman's Fire (2016)
My first listen to this, the most anticipated release of the year, as far as I'm concerned. How exciting it is to hear an album from a concert you self attended! Joined by Kjetil Møster on sax and David Wallumrød on organ at the Oslo Jazz Festival back in '14, they were on fire that night, and this translates amazingly to the album format. Cranking this baby up to eleven, the neighbour's Sunday peace be damned! My only disappointment with it is that it's so short, because of Rune Grammofon's unwillingness to release live albums in other formats than vinyl, and therefore has to fit the material to that format, which in this case leads to having less than 45 minutes of the more than an hour long concert (if I remember correctly) making it onto the record. Aside from that this might rival Ulver's ATGCLVLSSCAP as my AOTY.

ow I wish this was released on CD Cry
The first pressing includes a CD of the album, but yeah, now I have in my possesion another big black circle I really could've done without. Disapprove

Anyway, now, on Spotify:
First listen.

"You Lost Me at Hello", "Jitterbug", "A Little Bit of Big Bonanza" and the new live album, "Bushman's Fire", all comes highly recommended from yours truly (big fan). Their debut, "Electric Komle" and the new studio album are good, too ("Jazz, fritt etter hukommelsen" is especially recommended if you enjoy your free jazz less hard-hitting, but with more feel, than what these guys usually offers), but aren't essential, IMO. Haven't heard the LP only album "Never Mind the Botox", which is mostly (bar one track) covers, which I'm not a fan of anyway.
