RIP, really unique artist. Btw. didn't know he was almost 40 when Suicide's debut was released.

^Me too.  It's probably my fave, along with Deep Space 9, of that era's Sci Fi.  He was great on that show.

^ the next film, Rogue One, will be an 'Anthology' movie that takes place just before Episode 4 (A New Hope), so he can't die in that one because he shows up later.    It may be they knock him off in the sequel to Force Awakens due out next year.

Indeed, may he rest.  Though that is a disturbing photo.

^ I'd thought his time was near, last I saw he looked really very wan.   I respected his work in the same way I did Bill Buckley's; a brilliant if disagreeable guy.

It was just a fun show regardless of politics.  Once you got to know the characters at the table, it was almost like you were joining in with old friends every week.  People could disagree with each other quite strenuously without calling each other names or generalizing about the character of "the other side", which is a real cancer on our politics these days.  They seemed like they genuinely cared for each other off camera, whether that's true I don't know.  Like maybe even Elenor and Pat would have a drink before catching their planes?  LOL
In any case after 35 years on the air it is another one of those things you take for granted that suddenly are gone.  Bye Bye John

^ Yeah, I do miss Firing Line.   Frankly though, Eleanor and Pat I won't miss.   They're both a little dopey.

Toots was an amazing guitarist.....he's better known as THE jazz harp blower, but his name was made as a guitarist in some of the most renowned bands of the day.  He played with everyone from Bird and Miles to Jaco and McLaughlin.  I recently picked up a live Toots album from the mid 70s where he only played guitar and it blew me away....his sense of melody and modest yet cutting runs prove that you don't have to set the axe on fire to make it burn.  Toots lived a great life and the anyone who ever heard him had his/her life enriched by the experience.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....
