I just saw a TV-feature about a newly found extinct race of homo sapiens (besides modern man, homo  sapiens sapiens, and Neanderthal, homo sapiens neanderthalensis, the so-called Denisovans (after the Denisova cave in Siberia where the first fragment was found). so far only the bone of the tip of a little finger  belonging to a child and two adult teeth (molars) were found, but they were enough to extract some DNA to clarify it is from a different human race. the first fragment found (a molar) was discovered in 2000, the finger bone in 2008 and the other molar in 2010, but the finger bone was identified as belonging to a previously unknown race firssat, so very recently; this is cutting edge science.

apparently Denisovans and modern men interbred; there were some traces of Denisovan DNA in the DNA of people from Malaysia, New Zealand and the area around. the feature was extremely interesting; hopefully explorers will soon discover more fragments

Speciation involves reproductive isolation which removes the possibility of interbreeding so strictly speaking these are a subspecies of homo sapiens (e.g. home sapiens denisova), however I suspect that will be open to debate as more (mtDNA) data becomes available (a finger, two teeth and a possible toe isn't a stunningly good sample size). However, it could give clues as how apparent interbreeding between two taxonomically separate species such as homo sapiens sapiens and homo neanderthalensis could occur if there was an intermediary subspecies (or two) between them where mtDNA could be transferred.

I never said it is a new species (in fact I clearly uttered that the species is homo sapiens), I spoke of a new race. "race" is a synonym for "subspecies"

I never said that you did. You don't have to be so defensive just because I posted something that expanded on things a little more.
