^It is, really. Having a fairly lengthy history with concussions, I'm just wondering how long of a career he has left. The guy is engaged and has the rest of his life to live. I know getting a racer to climb out of the car is probably the hardest thing to do, but his health is more important.
Honestly, I either a) was asleep or b) completely forgot him getting out of the car during the chase in (I think they said) 2012. It would be a shame if his career was derailed due to injury.
It does make you think too...I never really considered concussions a problem for racing drivers. I mean, it's logical with all the violent collisions, but the focus is always on other things. Makes me wonder how many others are afflicted with them on a 'regular' basis and/or just drive through them.
It wouldn't surprise me if driving under the effects of a concussion was a semi-regular occurance all the way up to the early 2000's. These days sporting authorities tend to be much hotter on the issue as the long term effects are becoming better understood, and not just in motorsport.

The Cup race today sucked (pretty much the whole weekend's worth of racing did), but Kyle got his second straight Brickyard 400 win! Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon's post race farewell lap was cool as hell, too.

Yeah, I'm going to call it now Hamilton will win the title in Mexico with 2 races to spare, might do it in Austin again. Rosberg should have been 2nd today but threw it away himself, he got a penalty in Austria for not turning in and forcing Hamilton off so what on earth made him think he could get away with it this time?

Hamilton won. Pagenaud won. Both increased their respective point leads. And Pocono was rained out until tomorrow morning. It also rained at Spa towards the end and caused this:

^ haha...that's great. I love Spa in the rain.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
Well was nice while it lasted. I was hoping against hope Nico could have a turnaround right now and keep things in check, but I knew it was over and this seals it. Lewis won't falter. Not that Nico can't have a good run, he can, and Lewis can always have a bad race but yeah....we all know the reality of things Was really hoping Nico could grab a title this year too.
Great result for Ricciardo who's on a nice tear, guess feeling the pressure from Max.
Yeah, at this stage I would be shocked if Pag doesn't win the Indy title. Crazy things happen but late season surge champion Scott Dixon is way back. Power is on one helluva steak and not toooo far behind. He is the only person realistically in it and I reckon he has a chance, albeit an outside one

I don't know why, but a title fight between Pagenaud and Power seems boring as hell. Maybe it's because they're teammates?
And Chris Buescher claimed his first Sprint Cup series win today in a fog shortened Pocono 400. Happy to see this, too, for both Chris, who seems like a good dude, and for Front Row Motorsports.

Wish I could have caught it.

Is CB in the top 30 in points?
Shame if he is.

Bristol has been postponed to tomorrow morning due to rain. Damn rain!!!
And Mikhail Aleshin will start on the pole for tomorrow's ABC Supply 500 at Pocono. It's the first of his career and it looks like the Honda guys have a decent shot at winning tomorrow. Should be interesting!
Close but no cigar. Aleshin finishes 2nd. Will Power grabs another win, one helluva hot streak he's on (6 straight top 2 finishes!), and with an 18th from Pag... Power is suddenly just 20 points behind with 3 races to go.

It's really hotting up that title fight, a surprise given how much Pagenaud was running away with it earlier in the year.
F1's back this weekend at Spa and there's one change to the driver line up. Haryanto ran out of money before the break so he's been replaced with Esteban Ocon who's a Mercedes and Renault young driver (rumoured to be Renaults main choice for a seat next year), he's the reigning GP3 champion and beat Verstappen to the Euro F3 title the year before that. Should be good to see how he does alongside Wehrlein.
