you probably mean "e pluribus unum" meaning "out of many, one"

"quid pro quo" is quite similar to "manus manum lavat"

In vino veritas.  (in wine, the truth)

As for non-standard Latin (sometimes called Dog Latin), "Non illegitimus carborundum" or variations thereon.  (don't let the b*****ds grind you down)

I've always had my doubts about that one.
A lot of people seem to exist although I'm pretty sure they don't think.

Sieht aus wie Latein, ist es aber nicht - Looks like Latin but isn't.
it should actually be "situs vilate ines et e ver net". because the German dialect emulated here is Kölsch, the dialect spoken in Cologne, the city Friede and I live in

I have another one for Dutch speakers:

MARCVS·AVRELIVS·AD·LIVERAS·PERGES·ASSVRE·AVGVR·CIES

[Non-Dutch speakers should press Ctrl-A or click and drag in this post].

For non-Dutch speakers: This should be read as: Marcus Aurelius at liever asperges als zure augurkjes. In English: Marcus Aurelius ate asparagi rather than sour gherkins.

Alas, my two favourite Latin sayings are not in the list!
- Qui habet aures, audendi
- Homo sapiens non urinat in ventem (or "ventum"? I don't remember very well my lessons of Latin grammar)
